San Leandro's Rogers Family Co. has begun selling a line of kosher coffee called Café Jerusalem.
The family-owned roaster of several lines of gourmet coffee is selling the coffee both online and in numerous retail supermarkets in the East Bay and San Francisco.
Café Jerusalem coffee meets the strict guidelines of dietary laws based on information in the Torah, or Jewish Bible. In general, the laws govern the source of ingredients used in products and equipment used in production.
