Famous coffee maker manufacturers

Here are the most famous manufacturers, which produce machines other than espresso machines.

The five coffee-maker manufacturers listed here have proved to be the most innovative over the years. The coffee-making industry would not be the same without them.

Bialetti

This Italian company was the original creator of the famous Moka Express, commonly known as moka pot. Eighteen thousand coffee pots are manufactured at Bialetti Industries every day, say their ads. You can find them at www.bialetti.it

Bodum

The company was first established in Denmark, in 1944. They are the creators of the Santos coffeemaker, based on a vacuum brewing system. But it was not until 1974 that they produced the first French coffee press, under the brand name Bistro. Bistro's main competitor is the French Press Coffee Maker from BonJour. BonJour

In 1995 the BonJour Company from the USA introduced the French Press Coffee Maker. It was very successful on the market. The Wall Street Journal honored BonJour Company as the most innovative in the housewares industry. One important innovation is the thermally insulated French press, Triomphe. Bunn

The Bunn-O-Matic Corporation, located in Springfield, Illinois, was started in 1957. Bunn invented the first paper filter, the first pour-over coffee maker and the first drip coffee maker. However, they are also widely known for their quality coffee grinders. See www.bunnomatic.com.

Cuisinart

Carl Sontheimer and his wife, attending an espresso demonstration in 1971 in France, were immediately convinced of the utility of the espresso machine as a kitchen appliance. However, it was only in 1994 that Cuisinart made its way into the coffee-making business. See details on www.cuisinart.com.
