An Italian journalist — a coffee connoisseur and collector — wants to create a coffee museum in his home town of Trieste.
Gianni Pistrini said he already has a small coffee section in his small historical collection.
But a recent donation of a 100-year-old roasting machine, and interest in coffee makers and espresso machine manufacturers around the world, have given support to his museum goal, ANSA reports.

UPDATE:
The Coffee Museum is now open and it’s situated at the “Torre del Lloyd”, the Lloyds’ tower (3 Via von Bruck – area “Campi Elisi” – Trieste), which was the gate to the old Austro-Hungarian naval dockyard. Now the first Museum core is placed side by side to a new exhibition area including objects and tools related to the harbour activity.
